Lund University is listed at place 36 in the world-ranking for law.

Times Higher Education (THE) is one of the three leading international rankings of universities and higher education institutions, and it is based on 18 indicators in teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. The THE ranking of universities for 2025 was published in October last year, and Lund University was ranked 95 out of approximately 2,100 higher education institutions around the world.

This month, the THE Ranking for Law was published, a separate subject review with the same methodology as the World University Ranking but with subject-specific weighting. The 2025 subject ranking lists Lund University in 36th place for law, which is an improvement compared to last year's 38th place.

The Faculty of Law is very positive that the research and legal education at Lund University has had such a strong impact on the results of the rankings. It speaks of the high quality of legal research, education and collaboration at our university.
