Nominating Committee

The task of the Nominating Committee is to submit proposals for members of the Board of the Faculty of Law, the Dean and Deputy Dean, and the faculty's representatives in the Electoral College.

The Nominating Committee shall consist of four representatives and one deputy for representatives of teaching staff with research expertise and one representative and one deputy for other employees.

At the Faculty of Law, the Nominating Committee is also tasked with submitting proposals for 

  • members of the Academic Appointments Board, the Committee on Doctoral Education and the Educational Committee
  • Vice Dean
  • Head of Department, Deputy Head of Department and Assistant Head of Department
  • the Director of Studies for first- and second-cycle programmes and the Director of Studies for the third-cycle programme

The Nominating Committee appoints its chair from among its members. In addition, the staff organisations may each appoint a representative, who is given the right to attend, speak and propose in the Nominating Committee.

In its nomination work, the Nominating Committee shall endeavour to be very open to different interests and opinions.

Members

Representatives of teaching staff with research expertise are:

  • Professor Birgitta Nyström, Chairperson
  • Lecturer Daria Davitti
  • Professor Xavier Groussot
  • Postdoctoral fellow Torvald Larsson

Representatives for other employees are:

  • Study counsellor Jenny Backer

Deputy for teaching staff with research expertise will be announced soon and deputy for other employees is administrative coordinator Pernilla Sandberg.

The doctoral students have appointed Sara Bergström as their representative on the Election Committee and the students have appointed Ellen Palmgren.

The staff organisations can each appoint a representative, who is given the right to attend, speak and propose in the Nominating Committee. SACO has appointed Senior Lecturer Olof Beckman as its representative.

 

Replacement of member of NUGA for the remainder of the term of office 2024-2026

Associate Senior Lecturer Anna Nilsson has asked to be released from her assignment as a teacher member of the Board for Undergraduate and Graduate Studies (NUGA) for the remainder of the term of office 2024-2026.

The Nomination Committee has been tasked with proposing to the Faculty Board a new member for the teachers in NUGA. The decision on a new member of NUGA is made by the Faculty Board.

By-election for member of Faculty Board 

A new representative for teachers has been elected to the Faculty Board for the remainder of the term of office 2024-2026. 

Professor Titti Mattsson was elected as new member of the Faculty Board. 

Public vote counting took place on 26 September at 10.15 a.m.
