Visiting Professor Martin Scheinin elected as a Board Member Privacy International

Privacy International, a UK-based legal entity and international human rights organisation with a high profile in privacy rights issues, has appointed Professor Martin Scheinin as a member of its Board of Trustees.

Professor Scheinin will take up his post on 1 May 2025 and will hold it for three years. He emphasises the importance of his research covering issues related to the right to privacy, including electronic surveillance and algorithmic discrimination. He is also one of the faculty's visiting professors in the human rights project in the project ‘Human rights in the Nordic countries’ funded by Lennart Blecher and family.
