Thanks to a significant donation of SEK 143,000 from Kungliga Humanistiska Vetenskapssamfundet i Lund (the Royal Society of the Humanities in Lund), as well as generous contributions from Mannheimer Swartling, Engström & Co., and the Human Rights Profile Area of Lund University, the campaign has now successfully raised half of its SEK 500,000 goal.
The Museum of International Law collects and displays objects that show how international law and human rights affect the lives of ordinary people. Among the items in the collection are fragments of the Berlin Wall, passports from states that have ceased to exist, playing cards used by American soldiers in Iraq, and a blue helmet from the United Nations. The museum also organizes events with speakers and experts that bring its objects into dialogue with visitors – for example, conversations with Ukrainian students about the war in Ukraine and meetings with survivors of the Second World War.
The museum is led by Associate Professor Valentin Jeutner and a group of students from the Swedish and International LLM programmes. Learn more and support the museum at www.internationallawmuseum.org
