Valentin Jeutner’s research focuses on international law and legal theory, with a particular emphasis on the foundational principles and philosophical dimensions of international law, including its intersections with technology, theology, art, and history.
Before coming to Lund, Valentin Jeutner held teaching and research positions at several institutions, including Oxford, Cambridge, and Harvard. At the Faculty of Law, he co-directs the Master’s Programme in International Human Rights Law. Together with a group of master’s students, he is also in the process of establishing the world’s first Museum of International Law.
His two ongoing book projects explore the legacy of the Case of the S.S. Lotus and international law’s concept of collateral damage.
