The day was opened by Dean Henrik Wenander. Following the opening address, the faculty’s honorary doctors, Professor Mia Korpiola of the University of Turku and Justice of the Supreme Court Stefan Reimer, were introduced, and the audience was given an insight into their research. Professor Martin Sunnqvist then introduced the jubilee doctor, Professor Emeritus Kjell Å Modéer.
After a short break, the faculty’s new doctors were given the opportunity to speak briefly about their theses. The day concluded with a lunch for the doctors, specially invited guests and staff from the faculty.
